This Mining Security Officer Course has been designed in conjunction with the leading providers of the mining security industry. It's ideal for people that have not previously worked in the industry and do not have a security licence.
Upon successful completion of this specialist course you can:

- Work in a Crowd Controller environment
- Be qualified at a Certificate III level
- Have their first aid certificate

Course Duration
Full time study: Minimum of 30 hours per week over approximately 3 weeks.
Part time study: Minimum of 10-15hours per week over approximatley 9 weeks.
The duration of your course is dependent upon the hours that you dedicate to your studies. This is a competency based course, however it is expected that on a full time basis you can complete one unit per week.
Course Delivery
This Mining Security Officer course is delivered via blended learning; online learning & practial workshops. Upon enrolment students are issued with a log-in and password, student pack and access to Conwal's e-learning centre.

Recognition & Accreditation
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Nationally Accredited Certificate III in Security Operations - CPP30411.
In this instance, students would need to complete 12 units to meet the Cert III qualification requirements, and then also complete 3 units from the Cert II qualification.
