Our Firearms Instructor / Firearms Training Courses have been designed for operational Protective and Security personnel looking at becoming a certified Firerams Instructor in both Queensland and South Australia
Candidates completing this Firearms Instructor / Firearms Training Course will upon approval and certification from both the Queensland Police Service and the Department of Education & Training be able to gain employment with approved RTO's as both a Firearms Instructor (FI) and Range
Officer (RO).
This SPECIALIST course is also the ONLY SA POLICE approved and certified Security Industry Firearms and Defensive Tactics for new and current INSTRUCTORS in South Australia. For SA Police approval please contact the SA POLICE Firearms Branch for more information and registration.
Operational Range Instruction
Practical Weapons Instruction on the following Firerams:-
- Semi Automatic Pistol (9mm - 40 cal)
- Duty Revolver ( 38 - 357)
- Duty Shotgun ( Remmington 870)
- Balistic Soft Body Armour
- Instructional Handgun retention
Range practices and Instructional techiques
Queensland Police - Instructor requirements and assessment
South Australian Police - Instructor requirements and assessment
Defensive Tactics Instruction encompassing
- Use of Force
- Extendable baton
- Handcuffing
- Seach procedures
- Empty Hand techniques
Additional Information
Candidate MUST hold a current Training & Assessment qualification (TAA40104 or TAE40104) current first aid qualification (HLTFA301b) and a Certificate III in Security Operations with the additional Firearms and Cash in Transit (CIT) units.
