This qualification applies to an individual who is responsible for the management and leadership of a complex project, either as an employee of an organisation or as an external consultant.

Course Duration

Nominal Hours: 380 hours

Full time study: Minimum of 15-25 hours per week over approximately 25 weeks.

Part time study: Minimum of 5-15 hours per week over approximately 52 weeks.

 

The duration of your course is dependent upon the hours that you dedicate to your studies. Students are allocated up to 12 months to complete their course in a self-paced environment.

 

Course Delivery

This course is delivered via distance using both interactive and paper resources. Upon enrolment students are issued with a CDROM containing all resources and student pack.

Pre-Requisites

There are no pre-requisites to enrol into this qualification. However there is a preferred pathway.

Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:

• BSB41507 Certificate IV in Project Management or other relevant qualification/s

OR

• With extensive vocational experience in project roles where they may have had some limited responsibility for the output of others, and without a formal project management qualification.

Examples of indicative job roles for candidates seeking entry based upon their vocational experience include:

• Project Coordinator
• Project Management Officer
• Project Team Member
• Project or Program Administrator.

This breadth of expertise would equate to the competencies required to undertake this qualification.
